My Journey I’m a former community cat who has been patiently waiting for my chance at a forever home. I spent my foster time safely quarantined in a condo after possible exposure to panleukopenia. While another cat from the same finder sadly became ill, I never showed symptoms and successfully completed my full quarantine. I’m now healthy, cleared, and more than ready to start my next chapter.
My Social Life I truly enjoy human companionship and thrive on quiet, loving attention. I’m happiest when I can be close to my people, soaking up affection and sharing calm moments together. I haven’t been overwhelmed with lots of introductions yet, but I show every sign of being a gentle, easygoing companion.
My Personality Sweet, calm, and affectionate. I’m a total purr machine and take my role as a lap cat very seriously. I’m content, relaxed, and love settling in for long cuddle sessions. I have a soothing presence and bring a sense of calm wherever I curl up.
I Enjoy… Flapping bird toy ! My favorite! Sitting on laps for extended cuddle time Being pet and praised (it makes my purr motor go into overdrive) Quiet, cozy environments where I can relax Sharing peaceful moments with my humans
I’m Not a Fan Of… I prefer a calm, predictable environment rather than loud or chaotic situations. Slow introductions help me feel most secure.

Smittens isn’t just another cat rescue.
We are a coalition of volunteers with a spay/neuter mission, dedicated to helping both stray and owned animals in the greater San Diego area get fixed, receive veterinary care, and whatever else they may need! Smittens works with shelters and other rescues to route cats to proper vet care and eventual homes, and we take in stray cats who need help getting off the street. We also support TNR for feral cats, and assist cat and dog owners to get their own pets fixed and vaccinated at a low cost.
