One look into his piercing blue eyes and you’ll understand just how special this boy is. This spirited youngster has plenty of energy and loves to zoom around the yard. He’s a natural athlete who enjoys agility, exploring new spaces, and following his nose on adventures. While he can be strong on the leash, he’s eager to learn and excited to experience the world with you by his side. Mannie takes treats gently and seems dog-friendly through the fence, but we always recommend a meet-and-greet to ensure it’s a good fit.

All shelter locations are conducting animal viewing and adoptions on a first come, first serve basis. We are not able to move a pet from one location to another for your viewing.
The adoption fee is waived for all available pets in care and in foster homes. Standard adoption practices will still be in place, including background checks.

The City of Albuquerque Animal Welfare Department (AWD) expanded the shelter days of service to seven days a week with operational hours of 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and pet viewing from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m for both the east and west side shelter locations.
