My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🚨🐾 XENA IS SAFE! 🐾🚨

Beautiful Xena, the fearless and friendly German Shepherd, has officially been RESCUED from Stanislaus Animal Shelter! 🎉 While her life was hanging by a thread, she now has a second chance — but she urgently needs a foster or adopter to truly begin her journey of healing.

✨ About Xena:
    •    1 year old, 60 lbs, spayed female German Shepherd
    •    Energetic, playful, and affectionate
    •    Loves fetch, tug-of-war, and swimming
    •    Knows her basic commands and enjoys human attention
    •    Can coexist with dogs when given slow, patient introductions
    •    Best suited for a breed-savvy foster or adopter who can guide her with training and structure

💔 Xena was returned through no fault of her own after adopters failed to give her the time and decompression she needed. She’s a smart, loving girl who thrives with patience and consistency.

🏡 Xena needs:
    •    A committed foster or forever home willing to give her structure, slow intros, and continued training.
    •    No small children due to her jumpy energy.
    •    Potential to live with another dog once given proper introductions.

📩 If you can foster or adopt Xena, please reach out today — she’s ready for her fresh start and a family that won’t give up on her.

Additional adoption info

Into the Wild Farm Adoption Process

At Into the Wild Farm, we believe every animal deserves a safe, loving, and forever home. Our adoption process is designed to ensure the best match between each animal and their new family, while keeping the animal’s well-being as the top priority.

Step 1: Submit an Adoption Application

Interested adopters begin by filling out our detailed adoption application. This helps us learn more about your lifestyle, home environment, and experience with animals so we can make the best possible match.

Step 2: Application Review

Our team carefully reviews each application. We may reach out for additional information or clarification to ensure we understand your needs and expectations.

Step 3: Reference & Home Checks

To ensure a safe and stable placement, we conduct reference checks and, when necessary, a home visit (in-person or virtual). This helps us confirm that the environment is appropriate for the animal you wish to adopt.

Step 4: Meet & Greet

Once approved, we arrange a meet-and-greet with the animal. This step allows you, your family, and any current pets to interact with the animal in a safe and supportive environment.

Step 5: Adoption Agreement & Donation

If both sides feel it’s the right match, you’ll complete our adoption agreement, which outlines your responsibilities as an adopter. We ask for an adoption donation, which helps cover veterinary care, spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchipping, and other rescue costs.

Step 6: Bringing Your New Family Member Home

With everything finalized, your new companion is ready to go home! We provide transition tips and ongoing support to help make the adjustment as smooth as possible.

Step 7: Lifelong Support

Adoption doesn’t end when the paperwork is signed. We remain a resource for you and your adopted pet for life. If circumstances ever change, we require that the animal be returned to Into the Wild Farm so we can continue their journey to a safe home.
