My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Monty is a sweet puppy who enjoys playing with his human friends as well as his doggy friends. He loves going on adventures and exploring around the play yards and walking trails. He also has a cuddly side to him, where he will be at your feet, resting his face on your legs, or leaning in for pets.

He may bear his shy side when first meeting you, but it's all a facade! He is a lover boy through and through. He's made besties with volunteers and staff alike, and his love shows no bounds. Monty is a lovely face to greet in the morning!

This sweet boy is awaiting his forever home!

More about this shelter

We serve the pets and people in Northern Illinois and Southeastern Wisconsin. Our mission is clear: To take responsibility for each and every orphaned, abandoned, abused or neglected dog and cat which reaches our doors; to take them in and shelter them; to provide the best medical and physical care possible for them; to nurture them back to health if need be; and finally to place them into warm, loving, adoptive homes where they can enjoy the lives they deserve.
