My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🌸 Meet Nanami! 🌸

Nanami is a gentle, older lady with a heart full of love. This sweet girl has a calm, affectionate nature and adores spending quiet time with her people. Whether it's a soft nap by your side, a leisurely stroll, or simply enjoying the sunshine, Nanami is happiest when she's with someone who appreciates her gentle spirit.

Her soulful eyes and loving personality make her the kind of companion who quickly becomes family. Nanami is looking for a cozy home where she can be cherished for the wonderful, sweet girl she is.

If you're searching for a loyal, loving friend who will bring warmth to your days, Nanami may be the perfect match. 💕

More about this shelter

Founded in 1941 by the third female graduate from Cornell University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, SAVE is an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit animal shelter dedicated to protecting the health and welfare of homeless companion animals in the greater Princeton area and beyond. Through six core programs of Rescue, Shelter, Health and Welfare, Spay/Neuter, Foster and Adoption.

The SAVE shelter facility has the capacity to house upwards of 100 animals at a time (approximately 75 cats and 25 dogs). The shelter exceeds no-kill benchmark standards and ensures that adoptable animals facing adversity are given a lifeline, a chance to flourish, and the promise of a better tomorrow.
