Magpie is a cute 1-1/2 year old female (perhaps) Labrador Retriever/Border Collie mix who was brought to the HSOV on September 26, 2025 by a Washington County Ohio Deputy Sheriff who picked her up on Woodford Road in the Marietta Ohio area.
This little sweetheart has a black-and-white short smooth coat, a long tail, and an adorable symmetrically-marked face with hopeful trusting eyes, a black button nose, a slender muzzle, and short floppy ears.
Magpie has a sweet personality and loves attention. She is good with other dogs and is also good with cats.

Magpie weighs 46 lbs and walked fairly well on a leash with Angel by her side~
Magpie has small patches of fur missing on both sides of her hips which might be 'hot spots'
In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Magpie will be held for the mandatory three-day stray hold so that her family will have an opportunity to reclaim her with proof of ownership.
Since she was not reclaimed, Magpie was spayed on January 19, 2026 and was also given rabies vaccine.
Magpie went home with a foster family on January 24, 2026 who plans to adopt her if all goes well.
