Charming, amiable, delightful, lovable, prescious, agreeable. We tried to find some words other than the overused "sweet" to describe Emma, but that really does capture her perfectly. She's been with us for a month, and she's been nothing but nice and friendly to everyone she meets. Emma has the personality and obvious immaculate looks, so she'd never be found wandering by herself a couple miles from the shelter just after an attempt to surrender her to us? No, of course not...
For any heartlessness in this world, Emma combats it with her pure Earth-angel goodness, exuding happiness and love. She ADORES people, and greets new friends with slobbery kisses, hugs and snuggles. She IS a typical husky who has opinions and can get playfully mouthy, so an owner with some experience in the breed would be best. In a foster home, Emma showed us she'd prefer to be the only dog in a home. She seems playful with cats at the shelter! Emma is about 2 years old and is spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines.
Apply to adopt your new best friend at www.secondchanceas.org/adopt or at the sanctuary any time we're open. Call 570-376-3646 or email secondchanceas@yahoo.com with any questions.

Additional adoption info
We are passionate about pairing animals in need with loving families who would best suit their individual needs. NOTE: You do not have to apply for a specific animal on your application. You can submit it as a "pre-application" for a certain size, age or breed of animal, and if approved, we can contact you if a possible match arrives at the shelter.
