My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Bannor!
Bannor is an unusually handsome boy with a stunning blue/brindle coat. He is also very well mannered with the perfect balance of gentle and calm, playful and energetic.
Here are a few things that he would like for you to know:
I am housetrained 😃 and HATE to be crated so no need for that nonsense 😂
I love other dogs and am a great play friend and sleep buddy.
I’ve never met a cat but am willing to, so there’s that!
I love to go on walks, car rides and I also enjoy toys and Nylabones
I think I’m too big for younger children 🙁
I know my basic commands, I know sit, drop it, stay, no and lay down. I’m working on heel ☺️
I am microchipped for my peace of mind😊
I have my own FB page! Best Boy “Bubba” Bannor
Lastly, I want my own forever home

Here’s what my foster Mom says 🥰
Bannor is a gentle loving boy who just wants a family of his own. He may be a little shy at first, but once he warms up, his loyal heart shines bright!
Bannor loves quiet snuggles, soft pets and being told what a good boy he is!
He is calm, kind, and makes life brighter just by being there 🥰

If you would love to meet this very special boy, please go to our website at K9newlife.org and fill out our online adoption application.
* All of our dogs are in individual foster homes so an appointment for a meet and greet will be set up after an application is approved!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Our goal is to find loving, lifelong homes for our dogs.

We require an adoption application, a home inspection, and $250 adoption donation. This helps pay for medical care, dog food, and supplies.

To ensure we find the best homes for dogs in our care, our adoption process involves several steps. Adopting a dog requires a commitment of love and responsibility for the welfare of the animal, just as you would have for a human member of your family. Please consider the challenges that come with owning a dog as these challenges are often the reason many pets end up in shelters.

1. Complete our online adoption application: http://www.k9newlife.org/adoption-application.html

2. Once your application has been reviewed, we will contact you.

3. A home check is done to ensure the dog will live in a suitable environment.

4. A meet and greet will be arranged for the adopter and the dog(s) of interest.

5. An adoption contract must be completed to finalize the adoption process.

Prior to adoption, all of our dogs receive a general veterinary checkup, vaccinations, deworming, heart worm test (treatment, if necessary), heart worm/flea/tick prevention, and spay/neuter.

More about this rescue

K-9 New Life is an all breed, no-kill dog rescue organization located in southeast Virginia. We are registered as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

The mission of K-9 New Life is to take in dogs from shelters when they have run out of time or are injured or too sick for the shelters to handle. Our focus is to give these less fortunate dogs a second chance to live the life they deserve.
