Hello, I`m Hugo! I was found tied in someone`s yard in Brodhead. Unfortunately I was never reclaimed so I am now looking for a forever home! Staff is unsure how I do with other dogs & cats but if you`re interested & have other pets, ask about their day pass option! I`m initially shy with new people & take a little time to warm up, due to this I need a home with no children under the age of 12. Once I`m comfortable, I`m a sweet guy who likes to get attention & go for walks. Are you my forever family I`ve been waiting for?

Adoption Process is an application process that may take as long as 3 to 4 days to process. Requirements for the applications is landlord information, current animal vet records, and 3 references.

Dogs/Puppies - $98
Cats - $30
Kittens - $63
All animals are current on shots, spayed/neutered, and microchipped (dogs).

The GCHS is comprised of an estimated 500 members, dedicated shelter staff, volunteers, board of directors, and a growing network of foster homes. Due to the commitment of these people, the GCHS has gone from a 62% kill rate in 1999 to a NO-KILL status. Our mission includes:
. Promoting compassionate and appropriate treatment of animals throughout Green and Lafayette Counties.
. Realizing the need to educate the general public in areas of animals' care, especially the need for spaying and neutering of animals to prevent further overpopulation.
. Diligently assisting law enforcement and the general public in the effort to end animal abuse.
. Devoted to the search for quality homes for every adoptable animal that comes into the shelter.
