My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Courtesy post...Meet Remington - "Rem" for short... Remington is a sweet 7-year-old Pitbull mix who is looking for his forever home. He's a gentle soul who has been well loved and cared for. Due to health concerns and relocation of his owner he is looking for his new family.

Rem is house trained and used to spending time outside on a lead, but make no mistake—he is very much an indoor dog. He's a true couch prince who loves to lounge around and will happily claim a spot right beside you (or in your bed!) for snuggles and naps.

He's healthy, up to date on all his vaccines, and has no medical concerns. He does wonderfully being left alone while his humans are at work—no separation anxiety here!

He's been around children and does well overall, though he can show a bit of food guarding with little ones, so mealtimes should be supervised. His experience with other pets has been limited, but we think he may do well with another dog his size. Smaller pets may not be the best match for him. But if you’re interested in rem and have cats or smaller pets, since he has had limited exposure we can always have them meet safely a few times and see if it would work out between them!

Rem is loyal, loving, and a protector. He's looking for a home that will give him the companionship, structure, and affection he deserves. If you're looking for a faithful friend to greet you with a wagging tail, curl up on the couch with you, and keep your bed warm at night Remington might just be the one for you.

More about this rescue

Adopt a Homeless Animal Rescue (AAHA) is a nonprofit dedicated to rescuing and assisting animals in crisis. We actively combat animal cruelty in any form.

We have a particular commitment to pit bulls and aim to raise awareness about the breed, help those in need, and educate the public:
•We seek to promote this lovely yet unfairly maligned breed as the sweet, intelligent, affectionate, and people-oriented dogs they are.
•We assume stewardship over their well-being and strive to make this world a better place for them.
•We serve as a resource and/or liaison for shelters, individuals, and the community at large, advocating for any animal in harm's way.
•We also function in an advisory role for private citizens who seek assistance and guidance in better caring for their pets.

We are a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

Please help us help the animals!
