My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is Biscuits — and yes, he’s as sweet as his name! 🐾
Biscuits is a friendly young guy who loves being the center of attention. Found on a doorstep by a Good Samaritan, he clearly knew someone would fall for his charm — and they did!

If he’s not right up front asking for pets (with those big eyes you can’t resist), he’s in the back perfecting his baking skills — whipping up fresh biscuits and bread like a pro. 🍞💅

Bonus? He’s super playful and seems to be very cat-friendly! He’s always ready to run, wrestle, and chase toys with anyone willing to join the fun.

Stop by and meet your new best friend, Biscuits!

More about this shelter

The Associated Humane Societies rescues stray and homeless animals, both domestic and wildlife, providing quality care and sanctuary until loving homes can be found. As a community-based organization, we provide low-cost veterinary care and humane education to promote responsible pet guardianship throughout New Jersey.

For over a century we have offered a haven to abused and neglected animals. Founded in 1906, AHS is the largest animal sheltering system in New Jersey, operating three shelters located in Newark, Forked River, and Tinton Falls. Our Forked River facility also includes Popcorn Park. Established in 1977, Popcorn Park is a sanctuary for abandoned, injured, ill, exploited, abused, or elderly wildlife, exotic and farm animals, and birds.

The Society is a not-for-profit, 501(c)3 organization and we take pride in our devotion to the thousands of animals that come through our doors looking for a better life.

Please visit our website AHSCares.org for additional information.
