🐾 Meet Tahoe – The Handsome Heartbreaker with a Big Smile! 🐾

Tahoe is a 4-year-old Rottweiler mix weighing in at 72 pounds of pure love and muscle! He’s a strikingly handsome boy with a black and white coat and a personality that turns heads everywhere he goes. He also happens to be Yukon’s brother, and just like his sibling, he’s been waiting patiently in rescue for his forever family — which is honestly surprising because he’s such a catch!

💪 Tahoe is strong, energetic, and ready for adventure! He’d love a home with a family who enjoys walks, hikes, or outdoor fun — anything to help him stretch his legs and enjoy life to the fullest. Despite his strength, he’s a total sweetheart who adores people and has a charming, goofy side that makes him impossible not to love.

🐶 Tahoe is dog-friendly and enjoys hanging out with other pups.
🐱 As for cats… well, he hasn’t met any yet, so we’re not sure if he’d want to be friends or think they’re suspicious little ninjas. 😅
👧 Because of his size and strength, Tahoe would do best with older children who can handle his enthusiastic hugs and tail wags.

Their adoption process

1.
Submit Application

Adoption applications are the first step to meeting a dog in our rescue. You must be approved prior to meeting a dog.

2.
Approve Application

Our rescue reviews the application for approval to adopt from our rescue.

3.
Interview

Our rescue reaches out to discuss any questions on the application and explain the process.

4.
Meet the Pet

We will set up a meet and greet with the dog at this point.

5.
Home Check

If the meet and greet goes well, a home check is done either virtually or in person.

6.
Pay Fee

The adoption fee is paid at this point. Transport fee of up to $200 applies to areas if more than a 2-hour drive dependent on the distance.

7.
Sign Adoption Contract

The adoption contract is signed once the fee is paid and then you take the dog home.

Journey's Legacy is a small rescue in Cleveland, TN. We save dogs from the local shelter, off the streets, and occasionally owner surrenders if there is room or an urgent need. We have dogs in foster homes, boarding facilities, and the ranch. We specialize in medium to large breed dogs. We are working hard to get laws to change to require pet owners to spay and neuter their pets to stop the overpopulation of animals.
