**Jeff is a Patient Paw, please ask about his reduced adoption fee!**
Age: 11 years
Jeff is a golden thread turtle looking for a new home. Golden thread turtles are omnivorous beauties that boast beautiful golden stripes. Jeff has been a loved pet who came into our care when their owners were no longer able to care for them. Like any turtle, Jeff will require at least 10 gallons of water per inch of shell length - interested adopters will require at least a 120 gallon tank to give them space to swim and play. A water heater, filter, and large basking platform with UVB and heat lamp will also be essential to provide Jeff with the care they need to keep them happy and healthy. If you are new to turtle ownership, or have questions about Jeff, feel free to reach out to the Adoption department for support getting set up for your beautiful new turtle!

From our earliest beginning, Calgary Humane Society was more than a shelter. As Calgary’s first-established animal welfare organization, connecting the lives of animals and people while providing essential animal services to the community remains our central priority.
Today, Calgary Humane Society (CHS) shelters almost 5,000 homeless animals each year. In 1922 we set out to help as many animals as we can and we will continue to do so by fostering the values of respect, compassion, commitment, teamwork, integrity and innovation.
Our mission is to help as many animals as we can.
Our vision is using innovative strategies to lead, inspire, and educate in the humane treatment of companion animals, fostering an enlightened community that consistently demonstrates respect and compassion for all animals.
Our dream is a community where animals are valued, humanely treated, and live enriched lives.
Calgary Humane Society is committed to creating a better tomorrow through education and collaboration.
