Hi I’m Wynonna, at least that’s what they’ve been calling me since I arrived at Saving Grace. Before that my life’s bit of a blur, but since I’ve been here, it’s all sunshine and roses. I get regular meals,
which is fantastic, everyone seems to love dogs, and there are lots of dogs to play with. When the volunteers see me they kept saying stuff like “she’s so thin”, “eat a cheeseburger”, but I didn’t want to eat and wasn’t feeling so hot. Then I went to a foster home and here’s what they had to say about me: “
"Wynonna was a wonderful house guest. She was a bit nervous at first but settled in quickly and made herself right at home. She was sweet and respectful to our two older dogs and submissively licked their faces and ears. She is a fun playful girl who is up for a good time or a cuddle on the couch. She sleeps quietly in her crate all night and has been very good working on her potty training. She has quickly learned the routine of our house and is such a sweet dog. She would love a home where she could be part of the everyday activities and would make a wonderful companion for another canine friend. She is a special girl and we are hoping she finds a wonderful home where she will be treasured like the jewel that she is.”
I already miss my foster family but can’t wait to find my forever family. Could it be you?
*Sleepover feedback: "
Wynonna is a very sweet girl. She followed me around everywhere. She loves toys! I only had the stuffed kind. Adorably, she would spend equal time with each animal and would even go upstairs to get other ones to bring to the party! She warmed up to everyone that came by and everyone absolutely loved her".
Weekend Host Feedback: "I hosted Wynonna for the extended Thanksgiving weekend. She was the sweetest girl. She played very well with my sister’s 2 border collies. She pulled a little on the least, but other than that she did very well on our walks. She has a good amount of energy, but is very snuggling when she is tired. She loved bones and hard plastic toys. She was almost fully potty trained. After she had a few days to settle in, she slept well through the night in her crate. You can tell she would train very easily as she had almost learned to sit on command in the few days we had her. She was such a sweet, sweet girl and would make a great addition to any family!"
*Additional feedback: "She knows “sit” and “come” and “no” (which she didn’t have to hear much of) and does well with her crate, sleeping in it for 8 hours without a peep. And if you want to keep her amused for hours, give her an old stuffed squeaky toy to unstuff".

More about this rescue
Located in central North Carolina and officially established in 2004, Saving Grace has placed over 15,000 dogs into homes since its inception. These dogs were from rural animal control facilities with little resources and who would otherwise not had the opportunity to receive necessary veterinary care and a chance at adoption. While we have grown significantly over the years and have been successful growing our numbers we still see many great dogs miss the opportunity of adoption.
We have a large variety of dogs varying in breed, size, shape, age and needs and would love to work with you to find you a great dog companion while providing a dog in need with a loving home. Our dogs are chosen based on temperament and socialization. We get some of the most charming, unique mix breeds as well as some striking purebreds. Our dogs come from rural, underserved areas and while they may have little experience as an indoor family member, they have the temperament and personality that is sure to bring much love and appreciation to their new home. Most have started their crate training while in our program. Veterinary care including spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm test, vaccinations, monthly preventatives are provided prior to each adoption. If you would like more information about adopting one of our dogs, please email savinggrace@savinggracenc.org
