Meet Meg
Meg is a beautiful 2-year-old mixed-breed girl weighing about 21 kg (46 lbs), with striking white-and-black markings and a heart as big as her gentle soul. She is friendly and affectionate with adults and kids, does well with other dogs, and is happiest in an active home with space to play. Cats, however, are not a good fit for her.
Meg has a medium-to-high energy level and would thrive in a home with a yard. She walks nicely on leash, rides well in a crate in the car, is not destructive, and is continuing to work on her house training. She’s not a barker, shows no food aggression, and is comfortable being handled.
Meg’s journey to safety has been a long one. She escaped Kuwait in August after surviving incredibly difficult conditions as one of eight puppies rescued from a power plant. After arriving in the U.S., Meg spent three long months in a boarding facility in Washington, DC, patiently waiting for a foster home. She has now finally made her way to the Puget Sound area, where she is in a loving foster home and learning—for perhaps the first time—that she is safe.
Despite everything she’s been through, Meg is incredibly sweet and submissive with people. She’ll happily roll onto her back and offer all four paws just for a belly rub—but don’t be fooled, this girl also loves to show off her joyful zoomies when she’s feeling playful and confident.
Meg is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed. She’s ready for a committed, loving home that will continue helping her build confidence and enjoy the life she’s always deserved.
