Meet Perron 1 — also known as Roscoe! He is a sweet and gentle boy who can be a little shy when meeting new people. But give him a moment, and his tail will start to wag as he leans in for soft, reassuring pets. Roscoe has a calm and polite nature. He walks beautifully on a loose leash and enjoys treats (and takes them oh-so gently). Once he feels comfortable, his friendly and affectionate personality begins to shine, showing just how much love he has to offer. He also seems to be interested in agility and knows sit!
Roscoe had a wonderful two-night sleepover, and he proved himself to be an incredibly sweet, loyal, and polite companion. His volunteer describes him as “sweet as Thanksgiving pie”—he has soulful eyes, gives the softest little face kisses, and makes his person feel truly special. Roscoe is a total shadow dog in the best way. He greets you at the door, rests by your feet while you work, and when it’s time to relax, he cuddles right up—laying his head on your chest or gently nuzzling into your side. Whether you want to hang on the couch or head to bed, he’s right there with you.
Though he enjoys being outside and running around like any dog, Roscoe is just as happy doing whatever you’re doing—he’s very easygoing. He’s also incredibly polite: he walks nicely on leash, doesn’t jump, takes treats gently, and lets you know when he needs to go outside. He was completely housebroken during his visit.
Roscoe has met other pups here at the shelter he does some calm coexisting and also likes to play rowdy with some of his friends. He may need to meet any doggie roommates to make sure they are a good match.

When you arrive, you will first be asked to fill out our Shelter Adoption Application with your information. You may also pre-fill our Shelter Adoption Application ahead of time online to save time when you are at the shelter. Your application will be processed after you meet the animal.
Step 3: Tour our adoption rooms and write down the names of animals that you would like to meet. A volunteer or staff member will help you meet your chosen animals to make a match!
Step 4: When you have selected the right animal for you, our Adoptions Team will run your Adoption Application for approval. Once your application is approved, you will participate in an adoption class where you will learn all of the details about your new adopted family member, including their known history and medical records.
What else to expect: Animals who are already spayed/neutered and past their stray hold (if applicable) can often go home with you the same day. Pick-up arrangements for unaltered animals and/or animals still on a stray hold will be made during your adoption class.
