`Mei` means beautiful, and this girl fits that name perfectly! With her pretty shepherd coat and her adorable corgi body, she is the most beautiful girl around. Mei loves people but can be a little nervous around men at first. She may have little legs but she loves running and playing with other dogs. Mei is a little overweight so she will need a regular diet and exercise in her new home.
Mei is at our Main Ranch location! Watermelon Mountain Ranch (Across from Cleveland High School) 3251 Westphalia Blvd. NE Rio Rancho, NM 87144 505-221-2359
Wed-Sun 11am-4pm (adoptions and tours until 3pm)

More about this shelter
Our shelter had it's beginnings in the mid 90's and formally became a nonprofit organization in 2001. The dream of Lee and Sophia DiClemente has grown to be the largest no-kill animal shelter in New Mexico. Lee passed in 2010, but Sophia carries on with the support of a small staff, a large number of volunteers, and numerous donors - large and small.
