Here comes princess Peaches! At 11lbs, this poor little girl is in desperate need of home, more so than others. She just wants to be loved and held all the time. Her biggest issue is that she is people selective, and she mostly prefers males. But Peaches will let you know right away if she trusts you. Upon initial meeting her and picking her up, she may be very vocal before finally getting picked up. We think she may have had a traumatic past that causes her to react selectively to people. But once she`s comfortable with you, she`s an absolute love. Peaches just knows what works best for her.
Peaches has what appears to be a heart arrhythmia that comes and goes with stress, so a medical wavier must be signed for adoption.

Our shelter had it's beginnings in the mid 90's and formally became a nonprofit organization in 2001. The dream of Lee and Sophia DiClemente has grown to be the largest no-kill animal shelter in New Mexico. Lee passed in 2010, but Sophia carries on with the support of a small staff, a large number of volunteers, and numerous donors - large and small.
