My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Courtesy Post: Meet Willow!
Woodland, CA — This dog is NOT located at the Yolo County Animal Services Shelter.

Willow is a 2-year-old female German Shepherd who is looking for a new family to love. She’s a friendly, social girl who enjoys being with people and has experience living with both dogs and children.

✅ Vaccinated
❌ Not spayed yet
✅ Potty trained
✅ Crate trained
✅ Allows handling of food/toys
Comfortable both indoors & outdoors
Very affectionate with visitors

✨ Personality
Willow is outgoing, sweet, and always happy to greet people. She would love a home where she can stay active, continue to learn, and be part of the family’s daily life.

Why Rehoming?
Her current family is experiencing a housing situation and wants to ensure she has the stability and care she deserves.

Best Fit
Someone who loves the German Shepherd breed and can give her exercise, training, and a place to feel secure.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

*The shelter is currently open for adoptions by appointment only. Please email us at adoptycas@gmail.com if you are interested in adopting.
For other shelter services, please call us at (530) 668-5287*

To adopt you must have a photo ID and proof of your current address. If not on your ID then bring in a bill with your name and your current address. If you rent you must provide a lease clearly stating the pet policy or provide a name and phone number for your landlord so that we may confirm the pet policy. If you own your home you may provide a mortgage statement or property tax bill for proof.

You must be 18 years or older to adopt.

If you wish to adopt a dog and have other dog(s) at home, please bring them with you to the shelter so that they may meet. Even if your dog is wonderful with other dogs, many of the dogs at the shelter have come in as strays so we have no history on them and need to be sure they get along with your pet(s).

If you have any other questions, please go to www.yolocountysheriff.com or call the shelter for more information.
