My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Callie is a bright, bouncy shepherd girl who's ready to take on the world, preferably with a treat in one paw and a best friend by her side.

She's full of personality, energy, and heart, and she lives to please her person.

This clever girl is food-motivated and easy to lure, which makes her a fast learner!

She might get a little impatient sometimes and be jumpy, but with a bit of structure, consistency, and clear boundaries, Callie will absolutely thrive!

She's got puppy-like excitement for life...she loves to play, loves to learn, and loves to move.

She walks nicely on leash once she settles in, but her prey drive can be high.

The shelter environment has her a bit on edge, so she's hoping for a home where she can relax, play, and get the guidance she deserves.

She's shown she can be excited and friendly with other dogs, Her enthusiasm can be a lot at first but she's all heart and wiggles! ??

If you're looking for a smart, energetic, affectionate adventure buddy who just needs a little structure to shine, Callie's ready to learn, love, and leap into her forever home!

All animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (including rabies if over 4 months old), microchipped, and spayed or neutered. All dogs have been been vaccinated with DHPP and Bordatella (kennel cough) and heartworm tested negative (if over 6 months).    All cats have been vaccinated with FVRCP and current on flea control. Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

*The shelter is currently open for adoptions by appointment only. Please email us at adoptycas@gmail.com if you are interested in adopting.
For other shelter services, please call us at (530) 668-5287*

To adopt you must have a photo ID and proof of your current address. If not on your ID then bring in a bill with your name and your current address. If you rent you must provide a lease clearly stating the pet policy or provide a name and phone number for your landlord so that we may confirm the pet policy. If you own your home you may provide a mortgage statement or property tax bill for proof.

You must be 18 years or older to adopt.

If you wish to adopt a dog and have other dog(s) at home, please bring them with you to the shelter so that they may meet. Even if your dog is wonderful with other dogs, many of the dogs at the shelter have come in as strays so we have no history on them and need to be sure they get along with your pet(s).

If you have any other questions, please go to www.yolocountysheriff.com or call the shelter for more information.
