Cody is an adorable 13 year old Shih Tzu mix who came to us after his owner passed away. Cody is a little guy only weighing 9 pounds. He spends his days snoozing, getting cuddled, and eating.
Cody has been great with every dog he has met but he probably should not be with bigger active dogs because of his size. We have not heard Cody bark yet but once he is comfortable in his environment he may start being more vocal. This little man just wants a comfortable place to live out his remaining years.
Cody is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, recently had full blood work and a dental. He requires eye drops twice a day for dry eye and is also eating a prescription hydrolyzed diet for his skin. He will need medicated baths and may also need Cytopoint injections for his skin in the future.

Approve Application
Once we review all the applications for each dog, we will reach out and let you know you've been approved and we'd like to schedule a call.

Interview
You will have a phone interview with our adoption coordinator.

Meet the Pet
If everything sounds like a good fit on the phone, we have you come meet the dog in person.
5.
Sign Adoption Contract
if you fall in love at the meet and greet, we have you sign an adoption contract digitally.
6.
Take the Pet Home
Then you can usually take the dog home right then!

The vast majority of the dogs we take in and post on our social media will be available for adoption at some point, but not everyone is ready to be adopted right away. We first need to get all of our dogs seen by our vet, treat any health issues, and/or schedule any procedures they may need. Once the dog does not need anything else from us medically, we will post them for adoption!
