Gidget is the kind of pup who bounds into your heart at full speed with a wagging tail, a sparkle in her eye, and an automatic sit that melts hearts on contact! She’s already mastered “sit,” “down,” and “leave it,” and she’s hard at work on “drop it” and “come”, not bad for a pup who hasn’t even celebrated her first birthday yet! Playtime is her love language, especially when it involves fetch or squeaky toys, and she absolutely thrives when she has a backyard to zoom around in. After she’s had her fun, she’s all about the snuggles, curling up on the couch like she was made for it!
Gidget is wonderfully affectionate and people-focused. She’s gentle and sweet with her caregiver’s seven-year-old niece and greets new people with enthusiastic wiggles and a polite little sit. She’s also done well with confident, dog-savvy cats, especially when introductions are handled slowly and thoughtfully. While she’s still working through her dog reactivity, she’s already made great strides, she no longer reacts to the sounds of other dogs and shows only pulling and whining when she sees them on walks. With continued positive reinforcement and patient guidance, Gidget will only continue to improve!
Though she’s high-energy and playful, Gidget also shows signs of growing maturity, she’s crate training and can be left in a room during the day without causing a bit of trouble. She’s house-trained, microchipped, spayed, and fully vaccinated, ready to leap into her next big adventure!
Gidget needs an active, consistent, and loving home that’s committed to continuing her training and giving her the structure she craves. She’s not just a dog, she’s a loyal companion in the making, with so much love (and a few squeaky toys) to give!
