Here's what the humans have to say about me:

7 y/o Blake was found stray west of Houston. He is a slender boy who is under 25 pounds and 14 inches tall.

Blake has excellent house manners and learns how to use the dog door quickly. He is a quiet boy who never demands attention but blossoms under your touch. He gets along well with his pack mates but is not extremely playful. He does join in on games of caches and tug of war. He enjoys wrestling the best if it is just him and another, but quickly leaves if others try to horn in on the fun!

Blake does well around small kids and would be a great snuggler if he didn’t have to compete with a large pack! Give this boy a chance. He will make some family very happy!

Submit Application

The first step in our adoption process is the completion of our on-line application to adopt. The application can be found on our website.

2.
Approve Application

Go to our website www.HoustonBeagleRescue.org and click on the link "About Adoption." After receiving your application, we will contact you.

3.
Home Check

Once your application is approved, a volunteer will bring the beagle to your home to meet your family and pets, and approve the adoption..

4.
Meet the Pet

You are invited to attend our monthly meet and greets without completing an application, but no adoption can take place before applying.

Additional adoption info

The first step in our adoption process is for interested parties to complete the on-line adoption application found on our website. We require an adoption fee ($300 for purebred beagles and coon hounds; $250 for mixes; $200 for special needs or seniors 8 years +; and $350 for pups age 8 mo. or younger) and an adoption contract. ALL dogs will be vaccinated, microchipped and spayed/neutered before adoption!

We typically have meet & greet events on the second Sunday of each month, from noon to 3:00 p.m. and will always bring several of the rescued beagles to that event, so look up the location of the month on our website, and come meet some adorable beagles! We also periodically hold special activities, and occasionally attend Houston-area adoption events which will be listed on our "events" section of our website. Our quarterly newsletter is published on our website at www.HoustonBeagleRescue.org
