Tiger was surrendered to the Humane Society of Imperial County by his heartbroken owner after he was no longer able to care for him. Tiger is 10 years old and at 50 lbs., is perfectly mid-sized.
Tiger is a sweet, well-behaved, and affectionate boy who loves people of all ages and gets along well with other dogs. He knows “sit.” It's evident that he has been dearly loved throughout his life.
Tiger went on a two-week Frosted Fling (FFF's version of a short term foster) and did wonderfully with the four children - ages 5, 7, 9, & 12 - in the home! He loved playing ball and running around with them, and was always gentle and patient.
Here's what else we learned about Tiger:
* His Fling Mom describes Tiger as "... one of the most wonderful dogs in the world. He is respectful, smart, friendly, and happy!"
* He responds to his name and will politely “sit” on command.
* Playing fetch with squeaky balls is his absolute favorite! He holds on tight but then releases the ball, so he can fetch over and over again. When playtime is over, he's ready to chill.
* Although he did well with the dog in his fling home, Tiger loves to chase cats, so a cat-free home may be best!
* He is crate-trained, sleeping through the night in it and staying in it when home alone.
* He enjoys going for walks.
Tiger is an absolute love and will bring so much joy to his new family. Might that be you?
