My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Bunny Burmese!

Bunny was surrendered to the Humane Society of Imperial County by her heartbroken owner after he was no longer able to care for her. She is 10 years old and at 50 lbs., is perfectly mid-sized. Bunny is a sweet, well-behaved and affectionate girl who loves people of all ages and gets along well with other dogs. It's evident that she has been dearly loved throughout her life.

Bunny went on a two-week Frosted Fling (FFF's version of a short term foster) and did wonderfully with the four children - ages 5, 7, 9, & 12 - in the home! She loved playing ball and running around with them, and was always gentle and patient.

Here's what else we learned about Bunny:

* Her Fling Mom describes Bunny as "... one of the most wonderful dogs in the world. She is respectful, smart, friendly, and happy!"

* She responds to her name and will politely “sit” on command.

* Playing fetch with squeaky balls is her absolute favorite! She holds on tight but then releases the ball, so she can fetch over and over again. When playtime is over, she's ready to nap.

* After an introduction and a short walk together, Bunny did well with the large dog in her fling home. She loves to chase cats though, so a cat-free home may be best!

* She is crate-trained. She sleeps through the night in her crate and stays in it when home alone.

* She enjoys going for walks.

* She rides nicely in the car.

Bunny has so much life and love to give. She will make her new family smile every single day!
