Lucky is a 8 month old Hound/Curr mix who recently came into our care as an owner surrender due to having to many animals, and is now looking for her forever home. She is the last of her litter left with us and we think it`s her time to shine! Her picture shows her sad puppy face so you`ll be tempted to come and get her so she can show you her happy face. She is still learning confidence and true to her breed she loves to talk to you.
She is shy at first but warms up instantly if you sit down with her. She will quickly come and curl up contentedly in your arms. She would love a home with another dog but she would do just fine on her own as well. She knows how to sit and we think she is mostly housebroken! If you are looking for a young pup with great potential, she may be the one for you! She is up to date on all vaccines, prevention, microchipped, heartworm negative, and will be spayed before adoption. Come meet her today!

HSSM is home to over 300 pets on any given day, most of which are looking for new forever homes! Your new best friend could be waiting at HSSM right now. Our beautiful, 41,000 square foot facility is currently open to the public. HSSM is open for adoptions Tuesday – Friday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. No appointment is necessary to adopt, however, adoptions are first-come, first served. You must come to HSSM to complete your adoption and make sure you bring a photo ID, as it is required to complete adoption paperwork.
Our adoptable animals page is self-updating and displays ALL of HSSM’s adorable adoptable pets from “pocket pets” to birds and of course the hundreds of dogs and cats currently calling HSSM home! See one you like? Make sure you note your favorite’s name and animal ID number so that HSSM staff and volunteers can easily find him/her when you come in!
Adoptions are cut off every day about 30 minutes prior to closing and possibly earlier if volume is high. Weekends are busy and you may have to wait more than an hour (especially in the afternoons) so please be prepared.
