Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Trick!
Trick is a 2 year old 38 pound female Terrier Mix ready to find a cozy forever home full of all the love and snuggles she can get! Trick is a sensitive but sweet little lady, who likes to take things at her own pace, but is quick to warm up and show off her affectionate personality. She is looking for that perfect person, or family, who can give her a safe comfortable home and gentle affection.
Trick shows potential to live with other pups, however she is selective about the pups she prefers to live with. We highly recommend a slow introduction to any potential canine companions in her forever home. Trick may prefer to be the only pup in her forever home.
We have never seen Trick in a home with cats, but she has shown some potential on initial cat tests, so she would require a slow introduction with management until both she and the resident cat are comfortable in each other`s presence.
Due to her sensitive nature, we recommend any children in Tricks forever home be 13+.
It`s no Trick, if you`re looking for a sweet pup stop by the Humane Society of Summit County today and meet Trick! Or call (330) 487-0333 ext. 803 for more information.

All of our adoptable animals are up-to-date on all age appropriate vaccinations, spayed or neutered, de-wormed, de-flea and microchipped before adoptions are finalized. All dogs over six months of age receive a temperament assessment by our Certified Professional Dog Trainer to ensure appropriate placement. Also, many animals in our care receive basic obedience training to improve manners and increase adoptability.
We are currently doing adoptions by appointment only. Please contact us by phone at (234) 212-9843 or email at adoptions@summithumane.org, and an adoption counselor will return your message. They will review our adoption process, answer any questions, and tell you more about the animals currently available for adoption at our shelter and in our foster program. If we have a match for you and your family, an appointment will be scheduled to meet the animal.
Additional questions can be directed to our adoption team at (234) 212-9843.

More about this shelter
Since 1968, the Humane Society of Summit County (HSSC) has been the trusted caretaker and advocate for Summit County’s victims of animal abuse, neglect, and abandonment and stray animals suffering from illness and injury. We employ two full-time Humane Officers who respond to emergency calls, investigate animal cruelty, and, as warranted, prosecute offenders. We protect and care for our community’s abused, discarded, and forgotten animals. We strive every day to rehabilitate our rescued animals, find them great homes, and provide them with bright futures.
