Bee is a wonderfully attentive, intelligent young dog who continues to settle beautifully into foster life. He’s a gentle, sensitive boy who may appear a little shy or unsure at first—especially with new people or direct approaches—but once he has a moment to warm up, his sweet nature begins to shine. He’s bonded nicely to his foster family and likes to stay close by—not clingy or demanding, just present and content in whatever room his people are in.
Bee is house-trained, keeps a consistent routine, and has done well adjusting to the rhythm of home life. He sleeps soundly through the night, is respectful when left alone, and rarely barks—he’s more of an observer, taking in the world quietly and thoughtfully. He’s also a great passenger in the car and settled into his foster home quickly with confidence and curiosity.
He is very smart and already knows sit and stay reliably. He’s learning “come” and improving with practice as he gains confidence and focus. On leash, he still pulls consistently, especially when excited, but he`s working on loose-leash manners and responds well to guidance. He shows interest in deer, cats, or certain dogs, but is easily redirected and does not bark. Bee also enjoys exploring the yard and has a funny habit of gently uprooting or grabbing branches—never chewing them up, just collecting, inspecting, and occasionally snapping them for fun.
Bee loves enrichment and is food-motivated, especially when peanut butter or Nudges are involved. He enjoys his Kong, squeaky toys, and the occasional burst of energetic play. Indoors, he has an easy, respectful presence—no begging, no pushiness, and no demand for constant attention. He likes being nearby and will curl up beside his person when he’s ready to unwind.
Bee met several new people this week and was friendly and gentle, occasionally hopping up softly to greet. With individuals who are less comfortable around dogs, he may need a little guidance on manners and space, but he responds well when redirected and supported.
Bee thrives with structure, patience, and a calm, encouraging environment. His high energy level means he enjoys regular exercise and mental stimulation, paired with plenty of time to relax afterward.
Bee will make a wonderful companion for someone who appreciates a smart, loving, active dog with a gentle heart. With continued positive reinforcement and support, he will continue to blossom into a confident, loyal partner.

Step 4: When you have selected the right animal for you, our Adoptions Team will run your Adoption Application for approval. Once your application is approved, you will participate in an adoption class where you will learn all of the details about your new adopted family member, including their known history and medical records.
What else to expect: Animals who are already spayed/neutered and past their stray hold (if applicable) can often go home with you the same day. Pick-up arrangements for unaltered animals and/or animals still on a stray hold will be made during your adoption class.
**Please note: Animals listed on our adoption pages may still be on stray hold and pending reunion with their owners, or have an existing pending adoption application.
