Born on April 23, 2024, and weighing in at just 15 pounds, Freckles is a young dog who’s still learning the ropes, but his sweet nature and goofy charm make him an absolute joy! He’s happiest when he’s curled up in your lap or flopped beside you, soaking up affection like a sponge.
He’s got plenty of puppy energy — zoomies, toy time, and bone-chewing are all part of his daily routine — but he’s also incredibly cuddly and eager to bond. Freckles is very friendly and playful, with a strong desire to be close to his people.
He’s still working on potty training and crate training but making progress with patience and routine. On walks, he’s curious and sniffy, though cars and other dogs can spook him. He’s slowly gaining confidence.
Freckles would thrive in a calm, patient home with children 10 and up who understand how to give dogs space and reassurance. While he enjoys playtime, he’s happiest when he doesn’t have to share his favorite people — so he’d prefer to be the only pet. Each pet that is available for adoption is in a foster home for a minimum of 2 weeks after being rescued. This allows the animal to decompress and show their true personality, which in turn helps us find their best match.
