Meet Princess Karoline! Mom was a GSD & dad was a Malinois/Dutchie mix. All the puppies in this litter are high drive and high energy. They will need experienced homes that will give them a job to do. They will need owners that have the time and resources to commit to training and exercising them. She will be a VERY, VERY busy girl with a lot of energy. She is a loyal "shadow dog" looking for a patient leader to help her shine. Unlike her more independent siblings, Karoline thrives on companionship and will happily follow you from room to room to ensure she doesn’t miss a moment of the action.
Karoline is a sensitive soul who wears her heart on her sleeve. While she has a great natural drive, she can be a bit unsure in new situations and needs a "soft" touch to help build her bravery. When she feels overwhelmed or frustrated, she tends to shut down, so she is looking for an encouraging owner who uses positive reinforcement to turn her "I can't" into "I can!"

Founded in 2005, we are a volunteer home-based rescue group run by dedicated volunteers. Our dogs live in volunteer homes as family members with the same love, care and attention they would receive in an adoptive home.
We provide training, socialization, vet care and evaluation for all of the dogs in our care. All of our dogs are vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed or neutered prior to adoption.
GSDRI is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization licensed by the state of Iowa.
