Tortie Beauty with a Playful Twist — Meet Yara!

Hi, I’m Yara — a gorgeous, one-of-a-kind tortie with a heart full of love and a paw full of tricks. I may be around 5 years old, but don’t let that number fool you — I’ve got the playful spirit of a kitten and I love to entertain myself.

My favorite game? Tossing my mouse toy in the air by myself so I can chase it down like a pro. I’ll happily keep the fun going for ages. I’m also totally obsessed with my silvervine stick and will gladly trade cuddles for treats (fair warning: I’m extremely food-motivated… I might sell my soul for snacks). Because I’ve got a sensitive tummy, I do best on my special prescription I/D food — and to keep my slim figure, I need to be meal-fed rather than free-fed. Honestly, I think it just makes me extra fancy and well-mannered.

I’m a confident girl who knows what she likes, and I’ll politely let you know when I need a break — usually with a gentle nibble. But more often than not, I’m all about affection and making new friends. I’m quick to share my love with anyone who takes the time to get to know me.

And have you seen me? Anyone who lays eyes on me can tell I’m stunningly beautiful. My markings are uniquely gorgeous — especially the incredible ginger rings on my legs and tail. I’m the kind of cat who turns heads and steals hearts.

I’d thrive with a playful human who’s ready to be my partner in fun, or a furry friend (cat or even a nice dog!) to keep me company. Either way, I’m ready to shine in a forever home.

Oh, and my meow? It’s basically a whisper. You’ll hear more toy squeaks than peeps from me!

I was rescued in Fresno and now I’m living the good life in San Francisco — just waiting to meet my forever family.
