Here's what the humans have to say about me:
True fans of the 2001 film “Legally Blonde” know that in addition to her stellar fashion sense, main character Elle Woods has a pretty cool personality. She’s determined, resilient and kind. In fact, she reminds us of our tender-hearted senior lady named Ellie! Ellie has a tribe of volunteer fans who are rooting for her to find her furever home.
“Ellie is a beautiful, affectionate mature lady. In a play yard she just wants to be by your side, pressing her face into your hand for pets. She stood side by side with her kennelmate as they both got attention together. She was happy as a clam just to be with her person getting love.”
“Ellie is a sweet senior girl who seems a bit sad to be in the shelter. She was curled up on her bed when I approached her kennel from the service side. She got up and came right to me when I called her and was easy to leash. She is a slow walker and liked to take her time exploring all the smells. Occasionally pulled a little if she was following a scent, but overall was a very nice walker. She allowed me to pet her and seemed happy to get some treats. Very easy to return to her kennel.”
“Ellie was very easy to leash and unleash today. Very nice Walker. No pulling. Will sit and give paw for treats and takes them very gently. Very sweet girl.”
Ellie was found by a member of the community and brought to PACC. She is obviously confused as to why she’s in the shelter rather than a loving home and can’t wait to find a family who will welcome her indoors and keep her safe and sound.
Ellie shares her kennel with another PACC pup and has been independent when meeting other dogs in playgroup. She’d like to meet any resident dogs before going home to ensure a good fit.
Elle Woods famously said “You must always have faith in people”, and our Ellie agrees. She greets every new person as though they are her faithful friend and her heart is open to finding her furever family and retirement home. Come meet her today- she’s ready to go home!
