Asha is a 2yo, 56lb. possible bully/boxer mix, with a sleek black coat, white chest, white around her muzzle and four white paws. She was recently saved from euthanasia at the shelter. She had a GI foreign body that looked like a round cylinder on x-rays. Once out of the shelter and safely with rescue, she had surgery and turns out the foreign body in her stomach was a small billiard ball. She bounced back from the surgery like a champ. She is such a goofy girl and so happy - her tail is constantly wagging. Everyone she meets is her best friend. She LOVES to cuddle and snuggle with her person. She just loves to be loved on and is so sweet. She is house trained, walks well on leash, rides great in the car, sleeps through the night and is very treat motivated, taking treats gently. She is currently in a board and train program learning all her basic commands, crate training and what's acceptable for a dog her size. Her trainer says that she is extremely smart, a willing learner, and is doing great. She is not a big barker. Asha loves chasing and retrieving a tennis ball. Asha is heartworm positive at this time, and is on the rescue's slow kill protocol, which we can explain that process to any interested applicant. She can enjoy regular activities. Heart worm disease is contracted from an infected mosquito and can not be transmitted to another dog. We are requiring either a fenced-in yard for her or someone who can be active with her with a couple of walks a day. She enjoys sunning for short periods, but prefers to be outside only if her person is outside with her. She's a huge people dog. Her adoption fee is sponsored. If you live in the Central Florida/Orlando area and believe you have the perfect home for Asha, please complete an application and tell us more about your family.
