My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🐾 Meet Camila – Your Adventure Buddy with a Heart of Gold! 🌟

Camila is a 37-pound bundle of energy, love, and fun who’s ready to find her forever home! If you’re the outdoorsy type who loves to run, hike, or explore, Camila might just be your perfect match. She’s athletic, smart, and would absolutely shine in activities like agility or other dog sports.

This clever girl is housebroken and generally well-behaved when left alone—though she may occasionally dabble in a bit of “creative redecorating” (paper shredding is her artistic medium of choice!). She’s eager to learn, quick to pick up new things, and would thrive with someone excited to continue her training.

Camila is a goofy, affectionate sweetheart who adores people, including small children. She loves to play, sometimes even when it’s time for bed (or in the middle of the night—she’s got a big zest for life!). She can be a little mouthy when she’s excited, but it’s all in good fun.

She’s friendly and submissive with other dogs when properly introduced and has done well meeting them in person. Behind a fence, she can get a bit reactive, but with positive training and consistency, she’ll continue to improve. Her cat compatibility is unknown.

Camila would love a home that can give her plenty of exercise, playtime, and affection—and in return, she’ll bring endless joy, laughter, and love to your life.

Additional adoption info

Each pet that is available for adoption is in a foster home for a minimum of 2 weeks after being rescued. This allows the animal to decompress and show their true personality, which in turn helps us find their best match.

Adoption application

Go meet their pets

Visit https://operationfreedomride.com/ and click "available pets" to see who is available for adoption.

Periodically we have adoption events around the greater Rochester, NY area; however, we largely rely on the application process to best match people/families with available pets and then set-up a meet and greet to make sure it's a great match before finalizing the adoption.
