My foster writes: Sky Dragon is a most excellent house guest and a pleasure to live with! He is completely respectful of belongings and sleeps politely on his bed or rugs unless you explicitly invite him to the couch. He does not bark or pay any attention to neighbors in the hallway, and is often still asleep when you come home! Sometimes he even sleeps by the door waiting for you to come back and play! He loves long walks where he can smell all the news of the neighborhood. His other cute quirks include being a verryyyy deep sleeper with vivid dreams leading to twitching and the occasional talking! He enjoys watching other dogs on his walks and wants to make friends. He accepts baths but not blowdryers! He loves to cuddle and will paw you or give a cute seal sound if you stop petting him. He loves food puzzles and chewing his bully sticks too. Wherever you are in the house, he will come lay near you and keep you company.
My Borough breaker writes: I had the pleasure of taking Sky Dragon on a day trip. He was an absolute joy. We explored the beautiful landscapes of Central Park, from the Harlem Meer to the Conservatory Gardens. He was fascinated by the fountains, so much so that he got excited and tried to jump right in! One of Sky Dragon's best qualities is his lovely, calm demeanor around distractions. He wasn't super reactive to the birds, squirrels, or even small dogs we passed, which made for a very pleasant and manageable walk. Sky Dragon is a very treat-motivated boy. As I saw noted in his profile, he can get a little overzealous and nip when taking treats, but it's clear he means no harm. He does follow commands, but seems a little less likely to follow them if there is not a treat involved! So treats are a must! I think he may have been a bit cautious about me at first, but after a few hours, he really started to come out of his shell and even trusted me enough to let me clean his face a bit. He's an excellent communicator when it comes to his needs. During our walk, he let me know he wanted to take a break, so I took him inside thinking he was done. It turned out he just wanted a brief pause! He quickly asked to go back out, showing me that he simply prefers to take his adventures at his own pace with frequent, short breaks. He also has bursts of energy, like a little dragon taking flight, and I think he would make a fantastic jogging partner for an active person. Sky Dragon was also the perfect brunch companion, sitting politely at my feet and enjoying the ambiance. He also knows he needs to stay hydrated! I was glad I had a backup water bottle, as he drinks frequently on his adventures, he went through 2 bottles on our first hour walk.
