My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hey, everyone! My name is Slade. They say it's because I've got some slate colored patches. And it can mean something about a valley...that's kinda like my past. I'm recovering from old fractures and a collapsed pelvic canal. They think I was hit by a car, but I can't seem to get the whole story written down without thumbs. I'll have some special food until I heal. Even though I lost weight because of my past, I didn't lose my love for people, pups, and fun!

As you can see from my pictures, my tongue likes to feature itself in pictures. It doesn't bother me though...it just makes humans smile and give me extra food and cuddles. They tell me it matches my goofy personality. I give extra sweet kisses, and no one can stay mad at me long this way!

My perfect day would include playing with you or your other pup(s), going for a ride, a bowl of food, and then cuddling as close as I can to you. While I do get bursts of energy, I can also be a very calm couch potato. I still have all the fun puppy personality but with a dose of adult sweetness!

Are you the mountaintop home I've been searching for through the valley of my past?

-Bully mix
-~40 lbs
-~1 year old
-Dog-friendly; slow intro encouraged as I am very excited at first and tend to match energy. I do great with my large and small foster siblings!
-Cats are unknown, but I have a curious personality!
-Loves kids; may need some time with younger kids to not knock them over
-Crate trained
-Potty trained but needs some reminders
-Does good on a leash, but working on not pulling

All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home.

We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application.

We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information.

We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. If you are outside of this radius, we encourage you to contact your local rescue or shelter.
