Ray is the sweetest Bulldog whose life was turned upside down when he was pushed out of car and abandoned. A kind woman saw this horrific act and fortunately, Ray hopped in her car so she could bring him to Abandoned Pet Rescue. Ray is about 11-years-old and in overall good health besides having normal senior traits like arthritis and cataracts. After what this adorable 60lb Bulldog has gone through, he deserves to be spoiled and loved in a forever home. His tail wags whenever you talk to him, and he walks slow and gentle on a leash. Submit Application

Visit www.abandonedpetrescue.org to see adoptable cats and dogs. Fill out an application for the pet(s) you would like to meet and adopt.

2.
Meet the Pet

Once you have filled out an application, a team member will contact you to schedule an appointment to visit APR.

3.
Approve Application

APR does not do same day adoptions and takes multiple applications on each pet to best match pets and families. APR may do home checks.

4.
Sign Adoption Contract

If approved, you will sign a contract and pay the adoption fee. All pets are up to date on vaccines, spayed/neutered and microchipped.

5.
Take the Pet Home

APR hopes you stay in touch by joining APR's Facebook Alumni Page. Adopters can reach out to APR at any time with questions or concerns.

Additional adoption info

You must be 21 years old to adopt and have never been convicted on animal cruelty or neglect.

Abandoned Pet Rescue (APR) is one of the largest no-kill animal shelters in South Florida with the mission of rescuing and sheltering abandoned and abused cats and dogs with the goal of finding them new homes. APR's adoption center has about 150 cats and 30 dogs, all of which receive nutritious meals, veterinary care, enrichment and love.

APR, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, was founded in 1996 by a group of volunteers who were trapping, spaying and neutering feral cats and quickly realized the greater need to help abandoned pets and advocate for a no-kill community. APR is funded solely by generous donors and grants.
