Mercedes is a truly sweet and gentle soul who is looking for her forever home. She has a calm, loving nature and is an absolute joy to have around.
In our home, Mercedes has been wonderfully respectful of our two cats and does well with respecting their boundaries, which makes us think she would likely do great in a home with other pets. She also seems like she’d be a lovely companion for kids thanks to her gentle demeanor and comfort with handling.
Mercedes loves her walks and still has plenty of energy for her age, but she’s equally happy to spend her downtime sleeping or snuggling on the couch. She walks nicely on leash with minimal pulling and enjoys peeking down alleyways and saying hello to friendly people she meets along the way. She does not bark at other dogs, making walks relaxed and enjoyable.
She is fully house trained and sleeps in her crate at night. She may whine or bark briefly at first, but she settles quickly and falls asleep without issue. Mercedes loves affection and can be petted and handled without showing any aggressive behaviors. She’s a very trusting, people-loving dog.
Mercedes already knows how to sit and give paw, especially when a treat is involved.
Overall, Mercedes is a gentle, affectionate, well-mannered dog who would make a wonderful companion in many types of homes. She has so much love to give and will be an incredibly loyal addition to a lucky family.
