My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Age: 5y

Gender: Female

Breed: Terrier mix

Weight: 56

Personality: Super sweet, calm, cuddly, and very loyal, is fully potty trained, and wouldn’t mind at all just napping while you’re at work all day!

Friendliness: Dogs: Selective Cats: Unknown Kids: Yes

Education: Potty trained, crate trained but it's not needed.

Favorite Activities: Going on walks, getting kisses on the head and belly rubs, napping. She loves her food but is not into toys or bones.

Looking For: A home where her people would love to cuddle with her; she will be good with kids. She also gets along well with other dogs but is a people first kind of pup and will ignore the other dogs in preference of human attention!

Special Needs: History of Mast cell. Adopters should consult with their vet on best course of prevention for future reoccurrence.

Adoption fee is $300 and includes spaying, shots, and microchip. If you’re ready to bring home your new favorite snack-sized sweetheart, apply here: theanimalpad.org/adoption-application

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

We prioritize local San Diego applicants. We do not provide transport of dogs to other states, and don't allow the dogs to fly in the cargo of the plane.
Our adoption process from start to finish, involves 3 standard forms, and 2 situational.
All potential applicants must be capable of providing their adopted pet with routine and emergency veterinary care (yearly health checks, keeping vaccinations current, heartworm/flea preventatives, and immediate care in the event the animal is sick or injured). They are required to license their pet, and keep an identification tag on their pet at all times.
All applicants must agree to a home check, and provide us with a veterinary reference, or personal references if you're a first-time pet owner. Our home checks are not to invade the privacy of the applicants, we do this to ensure the pet is going into a safe home. We do not discriminate against non-homeowners, or those living in apartments, condos, or otherwise.
Our adoption fees vary from $150-1000.
Applicants must agree in writing that if for any reason they are unable to keep or care for their pet, the pet will be surrendered back to our rescue and not re-homed, turned over to a shelter, pound, rescue, new owner, sold, etc.

More about this rescue

Overview
The Animal Pad is a nonprofit, all-breed dog rescue devoted to saving the lives of dogs facing euthanasia at high kill animal shelters and off the streets of Mexico. We rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home locally.

We are dedicated to animal advocacy, and educating dog owners on the importance of spaying and neutering their pets. We are a foster based rescue, and rely heavily on the kindness and generosity of the amazing people who make donations toward the rescue and care of the dogs we save.

We are always looking for adopters, fosters, donations, volunteers, etc.. Please let us know if you would like to get involved by contacting us at one of the email addresses found below.

If you have any questions, comments, or are interested in marketing, advertising, partnership, sponsorship, or otherwise, please contact us at the email address below.
