My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you are looking for a sweet, gentle, soulful kitty, look no further than Ophelia. Though shy by nature, she carries a quiet grace that touches everyone who earns her trust. Her eyes, deep and expressive, are a window into a tender spirit learning, day by day, that the world can be kind.

Ophelia prefers the comfort of cozy, protected places where she can watch life unfold. From her chosen retreat, she observes the world with calm curiosity, taking comfort in its rhythms while she gathers the courage to step closer.

Ophelia asks for little and gives much in return, such as the slow blink of trust, the delicate licking of your fingers — each one a gift of affection hard-won and deeply meaningful. Ophelia is a cat of patience, heart, and quiet resilience. She reminds us that love need not be loud to be profound, and that the sweetest bonds are often built in silence, one small moment of trust at a time.

Ophelia seeks a quiet home. Young children or other pets might be too much as she prefers a calm environment.

VOKRA’s mission is to end cat overpopulation and homelessness. We rescue, heal, then place cats - first in our network of foster homes, then in carefully matched, loving, forever homes. We are a passionate, volunteer-driven charity with extensive cat care experience. We believe that no kill is the only responsible approach to rescue, that Trap-Neuter-Return works and that cats are AWESOME!
