A few days out of the shelter gave Rocky the chance to show who he really is in a home setting, and he did great. He appeared to be housebroken with no accidents at all. He figured out the routine quickly and even let his foster know exactly what he needed by circling or sitting by the door when it was time to go outside, and by parking himself near the food bowl when he was ready to eat. What a gentleman!
Rocky loved getting out and about. Walks were a hit, though he does pull a bit on leash, and car rides were a favorite. He especially enjoyed pup cups and will make little grunty noises if the car windows are up.
Inside the home, Rocky was respectful and easygoing. He did not get on furniture unless invited and mostly chose to sleep on a mattress on the floor. He enjoyed playing with stuffed toys and settled in nicely. He knows sit and stay, did well with a 13 year old child, and had zero reservations about meeting new people. Friends were made instantly. There was a resident cat in the home who was kept separate, but Rocky was curious and interested when sniffing at the door. Overall, he handled the experience pretty well and did not obsess with finding the cat afterwards.
Rocky had an amazing time on his sleepover, and it gave us a glimpse of just how great he could be as a full time family dog. Now we are hoping his next step is the best one yet. Adoption.
If you`d like to meet Rocky, please stop by to meet him!

My adoption cost is very affordable and includes my adoption fee, spay/neuter, vaccinations, deworming, license (if you live within Huntsville city limits), and microchip.
