My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

ATDR 3920

This is Stitch! He and his sister Lilo were found running loose in a neighborhood with 10 other dogs! A good Samaritan took both of these cuties in and contacted ATDR. Of course we said yes and immediately retrieved them and placed them in a comfortable foster home. They were a bit shy at first, but have warmed up quickly. They love and seek attention from their foster mom and seem to want to please. They're very playful and get along well with the other fosters in the house, but being small they're more comfortable with the smaller pups. They're coming along nicely and, given time to settle in, will make wonderful loving pets when they're adopted. Stay tuned as we have more to share here about this precious duo.

If you are looking for a delightful pair to fill your heart and brighten your days, please submit an Adootion Application for LILO and Stitch! If you can only adopt one, please submit an Adoption Application for Stitch.  He will need a doggy buddy near her age to spend energy with. LILO and Stitch would both enjoy a safely fenced yard to spend time in. They are precious beyond words and with gentle guidance and direction, they will both become wonderful little friends and companions!

More about this rescue

All Texas Dachshund Rescue, Inc., is made up of a group of volunteers whose primary goal is to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home disabled and otherwise endangered Dachshunds who have found themselves homeless for one reason or another. It is our policy that no dogs will be adopted out without first being spayed or neutered, have had all vaccines updated, are heartworm negative, are on heartworm preventative, and have had all other health issues we consider important to the pet’s life addressed that we are able.

All incoming Dachshunds will be placed in temporary foster homes, where they will be evaluated while living indoors with the foster families in a safe and nurturing home environment, until such time as they are ready to be placed in a loving, adoptive, forever home.

A 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
