My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Get ready to fall head over heels for Kibosh! The puppy-eye king with the softest floof and the sweetest soul! This handsome boy has mastered the art of melting hearts with just one look (and maybe a little grin when his lips get stuck on his teeth, it’s ridiculously cute).

Kibosh is a gentle, affectionate, and social butterfly who loves meeting new people. He’ll lean right into you for snuggles and booty rubs, and his happy, expressive face makes it hard not to smile right along with him. While he has a playful side, Kibosh is more of a “sniff-and-cuddle” kind of guy, he loves to take in the world one scent at a time.

He has potential with kids or the right dog friend who matches his easygoing, playful-yet-aloof energy. Kibosh says “no thank you” to cats, but he’s more than happy to fill your home with love, loyalty, and the best snuggles around. If you’re looking for a charming companion who’s equal parts floofy, funny, and full of heart, Kibosh is ready to lean into your life and your lap!

Additional adoption info

Dog Adoptions: $200
Cat Adoptions: $100

Please take a moment to review our Adoption Policy prior to applying to adopt a pet.

CHS accepts multiple applications on each animal, we are not first come first serve. Our team of adoption counselors will help matchmake every individual pet and family to ensure the best fit for all.

Must be 21 to adopt with a valid driver's license or state ID card.

We ask all members of the household to meet the new pet, some pets require multiple visits to build necessary relationships.

To align with our mission of solving the homeless pet crisis, all household pets must be spayed and neutered, up to date on necessary vaccinations, and live in the same household as the adopter. If not currently established with a veterinarian, a vet deposit will be required.

Cats and dogs adopted from CHS are indoor only.

Every pet is an individual, and many have individual needs such as : post adoption training (included with adoption), multiple meet and greets to feel comfortable, medical needs, etc. Our adoption counselors will communicate these needs with all interested families.

CHS will not begin adoption process with an individual when:

A person is reasonably believed to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

Landlord or residence does not allow pets, or the living situation does not accommodate consistency for the pet (e.g. student housing, four unrelated adults living together, ect.)

Applications may be denied for any reason, including but not limited to an individual failing to comply with conditions of past adoption.
