Meet Wishbone – A Shy Soul Looking for the Right Match Wishbone is a 1.8-year-old female dog who’s looking for a calm, experienced home where she can feel safe and understood. She’s very nervous at first and tends to be selective with the people she bonds with, but once she trusts you, her loyalty runs deep. Wishbone can show barrier aggression and frustration, so she’ll need a handler who can work patiently with her and help her build confidence through structure, consistency, and positive reinforcement. She will need to be the only pet in the home — no dogs and no cats — as she prefers having her space and one-on-one attention. Due to her sensitivity and need for a predictable environment, an adult-only home is required. Wishbone is a special girl who needs time and understanding, but for the right person, she’ll be an incredibly rewarding companion. With patience and trust, she’ll show you just how loving she can be.

We require potential adopters to fill out an pre-adoption application. If that application is approved, the dog/cat must be spayed/neutered before it leaves our shelter (if not already done). If it is a puppy under 4 months old, we allow it to go home with the adopters under a foster care agreement until it is old enough to be returned for spay/neuter. Kittens are allowed to leave before spay/neuter is done, but they must be done within a certain time frame.
Fees: Dogs/puppies range from $150-300, depending on if they came in already spayed/neutered or if we paid to have that done.
Cats range from $80 - $140, though we often have deals on older cats or cats that have been there a long time.
Kittens are $60 with $25 refunded once it has been spayed/neutered.
All adoptions include at least the first vaccination, deworming, de-fleaing, microchip ID, and 6 weeks of pet insurance.
