My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🌼 Meet SPRING — A Bright, Loving GSD Puppy Ready to Bloom

Spring is a German Shepherd puppy with a joyful spirit, a big heart, and a playful curiosity about the world. She’s affectionate, loyal, and already deeply connected to her foster family — the kind of puppy who follows her person from room to room and looks up with those “what are we doing next?” eyes.
Despite her young age, Spring is showing incredible potential. She’s social, people-loving, dog-loving, kid-friendly, smart, motivated, and eager to learn. She’s the perfect mix of puppy enthusiasm and sweet-natured affection, ready to grow into a loyal, well-mannered adult with the right guidance.
Spring is now looking for a forever home ready to invest in her training, provide structure, and enjoy all the joy (and hilarious puppy antics) she brings.
✨ Why You’ll Fall in Love with SPRING
Personality
Playful, affectionate, and loyal — bonds quickly to her people

Very social — loves greeting people and dogs on walks

Sweet with kids of all ages — playful, gentle, and eager to interact

Curious & adventurous — loves exploring, rolling in grass, and diving into bushes

Adorable head-tilter — you’ll melt every time she listens to you

Training & Manners
Knows: sit, down, come

Learning: stay, place

Eager to please and highly food-motivated — picks up new skills quickly

Working on leash manners — occasional pulling but improving

Puppy-level house manners — will chew if bored, so toys + activity help her succeed

Crate-averse — will benefit from gentle, positive crate training

Social Life
Great with other dogs — playful, friendly, and learning how to interact respectfully

Learning to share toys and treats with her doggy siblings

No cat exposure yet — shows typical puppy interest in squirrels/birds

Loves kids — joyful but may zoom around with puppy enthusiasm

Favorite Activities
Walks and outdoor adventures

Playing with other dogs

Car rides — happy passenger

Cuddling with her humans

Giving sweet puppy kisses

Energy Level & Routine
High puppy energy followed by short naps

Sleepy by 8 PM and up around 7 AM

Needs play, structure, exercise, and training to help her grow into her potential

Ideal Home for Spring
Spring will thrive with:
An active family who enjoys training, walks, and play

A home as an only dog or with a patient, dog-savvy, friendly dog who tolerates puppy energy

Someone committed to consistent training, gentle structure, and socialization

A family excited to help a smart, eager young shepherd blossom

🌟 Spring Is Ready to Grow With You
Spring is already an amazing puppy — bright, loving, fun, and bursting with potential. With the right home to guide her through puppyhood, she’ll grow into a loyal, joyful companion for life.
If you’re looking for a sweet-natured, affectionate German Shepherd puppy who will love you with her whole heart, Spring is ready to bloom in your home. 🌼🐾

More about this rescue

We hope to ease the problem of population overflow occurring in many of our shelters today. WGSR educates the individual on the importance of sterilizing the pet and providing superior care.

WGSR is composed of a network of foster families and volunteers. We are always in need of more foster care providers with the time and commitment necessary to care for these animals in transition. We are also in need of volunteers who can shuttle dogs from shelters and other sites to our foster homes.
