My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Saffron, a lovable 3-year-old American Pitbull Terrier with a gorgeous gray and white coat and the sweetest smile you’ll ever see! This beautiful girl is a total people-lover — she lights up the moment she meets someone and is happiest when she’s soaking up attention from her humans.

Saffron is wonderful in the car and makes an excellent adventure buddy. She knows how to sit for treats, though she can get a little too enthusiastic about them, so a bit of treat-taking practice will go a long way. She’s also known for her adorable butt-tuck zoomies, and while she’s typically not a jumper, her silly zooms are sure to make you laugh!

When it comes to other dogs, Saffron isn’t a big fan. She may do okay with a calm, respectful dog, but a meet and greet is required to ensure it`s a good fit. She’d be just as happy being your one and only dog so she can soak up all the love.

With her joyful personality, love for people, and infectious smile, Saffron is ready to brighten someone’s life. If you’re looking for a sweet, fun, affectionate companion who will keep you laughing and loved, Saffron is your girl!

More about this shelter

The Colony Animal Services strives to protect andTCAS LOGO-UPDATED nurture The City of The Colony’s lost, homeless, abused, injured, and sick pets. We seek to provide animals the opportunity to be reclaimed, adopted, rehabilitated, or rescued. It is the mission for the Animal Service Officers and volunteers to pursue a positive synergy and to serve the citizens and pets of The Colony.

Animal Services is committed to saving each and every animal that comes into our care. Over the last few years, we have improved our live release rate to 97%. We hold our standards high at keeping this percentage, and in doing so, we ask our rescue partners and citizens to help us pursue finding our animals forever homes.

Every year, we get over a hundred injured and sick animals that need our help. In order for us to help them, we use our donated medical fund to give them the proper care and treatment they need. The only way for us to provide this needed medical care is through our generous financial donors. Every penny donated is sent to our medical fund. Please help us continue this much needed medical care for our animals by donating. Even if you cannot donate, it is a huge help to share posts on social media.
