My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

M oster writes: Peppina is a gentle, wide-eyed kitty who enjoys the simple things in life: yummy treats, cozy naps, and watching the world go by from a safe window perch. At night, she loves to sit by the window and quietly observe cars and people passing.
While she may be shy at first, Peppina's curiosity shines through. Once she feels comfortable, she'll sit nearby to keep you company, especially if she knows a Churu stick treat is available. She always devours them as an evening treat! She also adores curling up in her homemade cave or hiding in cozy boxes around the house.
Peppina would thrive in a calm, patient, adult home where routines are gentle and predictable. She came from a multi-cat household, so she may enjoy having another friendly feline around, though she's still figuring out what she prefers. Left on her own, she spends her days exploring, playing with toys, and snoozing peacefully on the couch.
If you're looking for a tender, curious kitty who will blossom with time, kindness, and quiet companionship, Peppina might be the perfect match. She will likely be shy during the initial meetup, but will warm up!

What my friends at ACC say about me:

Peppina was in the den, appearing slightly stressed with fairly large pupils and a watchful stare. She was slightly hand-shy, but allowed petting on her cheek and head after pulling back slightly. She enjoyed treats and ate them, and was partially coaxed out of the den with squeeze-up. Pick-up was not attempted because she remained inside the den.

Peppina tolerates attention and petting but appears to be moderately nervous in the shelter. She may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. We recommend that she go to a home with some cat experience preferred and be well counseled in nervous cat behavior.
