"A dog wags her tail with her heart." This makes us think of our wonderful Lucille Ball.
Why we love her: she is the perfect family dog!
Lucille has been DNA-tested by her foster family and came back mostly Treeing Walker Coonhound and Mountain Cur — the perfect blend of smart, steady, and outdoorsy. She is seven months old and weighs 45 pounds, so Lucille is a great choice if you want to adopt a medium sized dog.
She’s housebroken, crate trained, kid friendly, cat friendly, and dog friendly. Lucille loves to play, explore the yard or trails, and she’s a total pro at fetch. When it’s time to relax, she’s an incredible snuggler and hits the most hilarious sleep poses. She is a Goof, capital G! Lucille will have you laughing at her silliness all day long.
For a puppy her size, she’s surprisingly gentle. Her go-to move is a full-body wag while she waits for pets. On the rare occasion Lucille forgets herself and does a tiny jump, she’s easily corrected and immediately remembers her manners. She is so easily trained and ready to adapt to whatever her forever family needs from her.
Lucille has already learned “down” for food and treats — and now she drops into the perfect “down” anytime she spots something she wants. Highly intelligent, loving, sweet… she’s truly a gem of a dog. Get ready to fall in love!
She is currently spending some time in a foster home. If you would like to meet Lucille, please reach out and we will put you in touch with her foster family.
