My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

“No animal I know of can consistently be more of a friend and companion than a dog.” This reminds us of Shadow! If you are looking for a medium sized dog, he could be the one! Shadow is six years old.

Why we love him: Shadow has the tenderest of hearts and the gentlest of souls. He is so grateful for attention and affection, and we truly enjoy his company.

Shadow is a well mannered companion on daily walks and also enjoys outings in the fenced yard. Once he is done, he likes to relax and chill out with you.

Shadow has had such fun playing with one of his shelter companions. If you have another dog, we do require a meet and greet to ensure compatibility.

Shadow wants to please and should master any commands you wish to teach him.

He is going to be such a loyal part of his new family!

More about this shelter

Cheatham County Animal Control is committed to finding good homes for the animals that come into the shelter system. We work with rescues and adopters. We are a no kill shelter but we rely on people coming in to adopt!

All of our cats/dogs receive vaccinations that are appropriate for the age and health when they are at animal control. We also spay and neuter all of our animals. The adopter is responsible for all vaccinations and medical care after adoption.
