My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

*Meow* I`m in a foster home. To meet me reach out to my foster parent at cartermacyr@gmail.com

Meet Zise, a petit, polydactyl beauty. Zise is initially shy, but give her time and she’ll quickly be asking for pets. Zise does require a little patience but she’s so incredibly gentle and curious. She has a very healthy appetite! Wherever treats are, Zise will follow! She would most likely thrive best in calmer environments. She’s a relatively chill kitty that loves her heating pad and lots and lots of head rubs.

More about this shelter

At the Humane Rescue Alliance, we honor more than 150 years of commitment to protecting animals, supporting families, and advocating for positive change to create a world where all animals can thrive. HRA serves as a national leader and local champion for all animals.

With a people-focused, community-based approach, we treat every animal as an individual and emphasize specialized care for both animals and their families. Through our two campuses in the District of Columbia and New Jersey, we are the largest animal services provider in our region – touching the lives of tens of thousands of animals annually through direct rescue, care, and community-based services. Our teams find solutions to both small and big problems, from providing direct care to an animal in crisis to tackling systemic barriers to affordable, pet-friendly housing.
